Harvest 2004:
SW MI has completed their harvest.
WC MI had another good week. Quality remains good.
NW MI has begun in earnest. Quality is very good in most parts.
NY had another decent week of production. Quality is good.
WA handlers are suggesting that they will likely pick short of
the estimate. Quality is still good.
UT may pick longer than previously thought by processors. Quality
still pretty good.
OR & PA have been combined since they are unrestricted districts
and there are some reporting constraints there, too.
School Lunch Tour, July 20 - 21 We had a GREAT visit with the USDA
representatives in WC MI. Thank you to all who participated and shared
their thoughts.
Call the CIAB at 888/639-2422 if you have questions regarding either the harvest or any
other issues.
